the U.S. Senate, but George Allen says
the election is still too close to
call.

And for the second time in a
year, a statewide race in Virginia
seems likely to be headed for a
recount.

votes apart - out of more than two
million cast across the state. The

today.

But shortly after 1:00 a.m., he

told supporters enough votes were in to
claim victory, with more on the way.

supporters he would take his campaign

resigned, siting a potential conflict
of interest as the reason.

Mattern, an engineering firm that has a
contract with the housing authority.

Fink said that contract was
awarded before he took the job. The

are behind bars for a murder that
happened over the weekend.

Mount is facing first degree murder
charges for allegedly shooting and
killing 31-year-old Jake Hairston.

A second man, David Wayne Yopp,

bond.

He's facing assault and firearm
charges.

Both suspects allegedly
confronted the victim Sunday afternoon

The confrontation turned into

Flames could be seen shooting out

home.

Investigators believe the fire
started on a couch, but they are still
