:00 Tuesday night, town council voted
5 to 1 to deny Gilbert Maxwell a
conditional use permit for his one acre
lot despite the planning commission's
recommendation.

A town ordinance created in the
19-80's was one of the main reasons it
didn't pass even though the planning
commission recommended amending that
ordinance.

Maxwell says he was surprised by
the vote and that young people lost big
Tuesday night.

Montgomery County School
administrators voiced concern last
month about the paintball field because
the property adjoined with school

The Massachusetts Supreme

If voters approve a ban, all

SCAM ALERT BANNER Kimberly, there are plenty of

That's what Roanoke City
resident, Anita Hopkins says happened
to her.

She did the right thing by
getting a contract in writing.

But she paid in-full before the
project was complete and she says the
work was shoddy and in some cases not
finished.

The contractor did not come back
to make the repairs and make things
right.

Hopkins took the contractor to
court and won, but has not been able to
get her money back.

Julie Wheeler of the Better
Business Bureau says homeowners need to
have a contract and should not pay
in-full until the work is finished to
their satisfaction.

Also, even if they have used a
contractor before, they need to get
comparative quotes. And they need to
get them in writing.
