Leading up to the holidays, the
Roanoke Police Department says more
retail stores face armed robberies.

There have been nine since
October.

Officers stress that businesses
should keep limited cash on hand, have

staff should be properly trained for a
threat.

Officers also encourage
businesses to have proper lighting,
keep advertisements off the windows so
store activity is visible from the

Researchers analyzed food

Eagles vs. Hokies A good Friday night crowd at the :00 Cassell had lots to cheer about on
opening night.

Tech had the shooting touch
working in this one. A-D Vassallo
buries a long triple and the Hokies led
by 14, just 8 minutes in.

Later in the half, Deron
Washington takes the baseline dish and
throws down the jami-jam capping a 24
to 4 Tech run to start the game.

The newcomers chipped in as
well. Nigel Munson sticks a three, one
of his 2 in the first half. *CG final Coppin State Fellow freshman Lewis Witcher also 43 contributed getting his first Virginia Tech collegiate points. Tech never trailed 94 and routed Coppin State 94 to 43.
