Natasha, I talked to him by phone.
Chris Landry admits several families

He says the problem is donations
dried up after Hurricane Katrina.
However, Natasha, he says the

According to national guidelines
it should take 90 minutes or less to
get a patient from the hospital door to
treatment... where a clogged artery is

balloon angioplasty.
It's a concern local health care
providers like Carilion recognize.
Carilion has implemented a heart
alert program to speed up the process.
As a result, it's average
door-to-balloon treatment time is about
78 minutes.

He says PATIENTS also play a role

when they notice symptoms.
The warning signs include chest
discomfort, pain in the back, jaw, arm
