mile behind the Food Lion along Tyler
Avenue.
Radford Police say after scouring
the area with cadaver dogs for
days...about 50-60 percent of human
body remains were found.
An anthropologist at Radofrd
University told police the bones were
of a white male age 30-40.
He also said they had been there
for a year or more.

The remains have been sent to the
medical examiner in Roanoke.
Police are waiting to hear from
that office and they're hoping there
will be more information so they can
find out who this person was.

Cassell resigned, Henry County has a
new interim sheriff and he is no
stranger to the department.

VO-NAT This afternoon, a circuit court judge
appointed Captain Lane Perry as the new
top officer.
Perry has served the department for 13
years in various positions.
Most recently he was selected to lead
the sheriff's office after Cassell and
several deputies were indicted and took
leave.
Today the new sheriff said his first
priority is serving the people, but he
also acknowledged he must get the
department back on its feet.

worst seasons ever, and today the
team's offensive coordinator Jeff
Bowden announced that he is resigning
effective at the end of the season.

The youngest of head coach Bobby
Bowden's coaching sons has been under
fire ever since he replaced former
offensive coordinator and current
Georgia coach Mark Richt in 2001. Bobby
Bowden has stood by his son's
performance as offensive coordinator
despite a notable decline in scoring
and yardage gained in the past half
dozen seasons. The 77-year-old Bowden
has not ruled the posibility that he
might quit, as well. He says he's so
mad over all of this that he could
punch someone.

jackpot at the Exaclibur Casino.
The couple planned to get married in
a hot air balloon but when it rained
they decided to tie the knot in front

fiancee to get dressed and was just
killing time when he won the jackpot.
