OQ=...IN THIS SITUATION." << Robert Senseney was hoping his
(END SOT) playoff magic and overall postseason

record of 9-and-1 would help turn that

result in his favor on his second trip
to the Stadium.

But Jonathan Clemo had other
ideas early. He takes the hand-off and
bursts in front of the pack for 30
yards on the carry to the Colonels' 11
yard line.

Two plays later, Clemo finishes
off the drive with a nine yard TD run.
Salem is off and running with a
7-to-nothing lead on its opening drive
of the game.

The Colonels would also put
together an impressive first drive, but
the Salem 'D" rose up when it mattered
in the red zone and kept it
7-to-nothing after a quarter.

Now in the second, Fleming Marcus
Bratton will turn the momentum as he
steps in front of the Mark Hanabury
pass and takes off to the house. The
Pick 6 goes for 70 yards down the
sideline for the Colonels first score
of the game and we're all ties at
7-all.

Salem would answer just before
the half, as Neil Stewart hits a 29
yard field goal to give Salem a 10-to-7
lead at the intermission.

The third quarter was scoreless
until the final play of the period when
Deondre Mumford hooked up with Aaron
Johnson , Junior.

Johnson makes the catch and kicks
it into high gear - winning the foot
race with the Salem Secondary going 77
yards for the score. Fleming takes
it's first lead of the night 14-to-10
heading to the fourth.

But Salem would not go quietly.

Hanabury goes up top and finds
Clemo on the beautiful pitch and catch
for 34 yards moving the ball all the
way to the Colonels' 17 yard line.

But the drive and the game came
down to a 4th and goal play from just
inside the 15 yard line. Hanabury
rolls out, appears to be in deep
trouble, only to find George George in
the corner of the endzone. He makes a
tough catch for the game winner as
Salem stays unbeaten with the 17-to-14
win over Fleming.

The only things left to do was

Several plays later, Williams

launches one and DeShawn Strickland
will win the jump ball and pull down
the pass for a hugh 45 yard pickup.

Bassett's defense, however, would
bend but not break as the Bengals held

off the left end for 24 yards before
he's brought down on the carry.

Now from the 29, Woods hands off

GRAPHIC=HEINERS SLICE OF LIFE Ramsey enjoys eating Seafood,

which is a good thing because he works
at a Seafood Restaurant. His Favorite
Athlete is Vince Young, and Ramsey
sports the number 10 in his honor. He
enjoys pretty much any movie with Adam
Sandler in it. And who doesn't like a
little AC/DCTERMS. Grant Kittelson
introduces us to the do it all senior
from Buchanan.

OQ=Friday Football Extra. << James River knew what was at
(END SOT) stake coming down the stretch. Win or

your season was over. Matt Ramsey
stepped up to the challenge leading his
team to a Pioneer District Title with a
win over Parry McClure. Ramsey stuffed
almost every stat category possible.

Rushing for almost a hundred
yards and 2 Scores. Tack on a Catch
for a Touchdown, 14 Tackles and even a
Sack from his Linebacker Spot and
Ramsey made sure his Knights would live
to fight another day.

(KING BITE:)

(STANDUP: Ramsey was making the most of
his chance to play against District
Opponents. A Season ago he broke his

Fibula before James River got into
Pioneer District play. He missed the
last half of an 0 and 10 season.

(RAMSEY BITE:)

Ramsey is also doing his part to
make sure that the resurgence of James
River Football continues to for years
to come

And Ramsey can teach just about
every position on the field. He was a
Wide Receiver earlier in the season
before being move to Tailback. In
