Roanoke.

The owner of the home,
71-year-old Carolyn Perry did not
survive.

playing with a lighter is responsible
for another Sunday fire in Roanoke.

This one was reported shortly
before six last night at 15-29
Lafayette Boulevard, a fire that left
five people homeless.

reach and say this fire is another
reminder why.

That's more than a million-and-a
half over the original budget.

Montgomery County School
officials say construction costs have
gone up more than 25-percent since the
project was first discussed.

The school board meets tomorrow
night.

Administrators are recommending
that the board go ahead with the
project and work out the funding
shortfall with the Board of Supervisors

season for both Virginia Tech and U-V-A
is upon us and there is plenty on the
line for both teams. The Hokies are 9
and 2 and looking for a 10th win that
could secure a bid to the Chik-fil-A
Bowl in Atlanta. The Wahoo's meanwhile
have a record of 5 and 6 and will need
another "W" to become eligible for any
bowl.

This will be the 88th meeting
all-time between the 2 Schools and will
take place at Lane Stadium and as
always this contest is a big deal for
the coaches, players, and fans.
