Doctors says this new option
doesn't make the healing process any

better.
The main reason for patients to
do Lasik is to decrease the dependence
on glasses and some patients even end
up with 20-20 vision after the

Take the one in Troutville. It's
currently undergoing a 300-thousand
dollar renovation.
The project includes new toilet and
sinks in the bathroms, an air
conditioning system, picnic tables, and
water fountains.
But the work won't be finished until
the first of the year which means
travelers will have to use porta johns.
Despite the inconveniences, the
facelift is needed. When we visited
the Troutville facility last March, we
found among other things broken sinks
and several toilets out of order.
Altogether, Virgnia is spending
twenty million dollars sprucing up or
totally reconstructing 14 of the
state's rest stops.
