Natasha, State Police confirm the
victims were a sherff's deputy and his
wife.

Investigators remained on the
scene well in to the night as they try
to piece together exactly what
happened.
This all began this morning when
deputies from the Pittsylvania County
Sheriff's Department responded to this
home on Kentuck Road in the Ringold
section of the county.
They were conducting a well being
check after an employee with the
sheriff's department failed to show up
for work.
Once inside, deputies found the
bodies of Tim and Pamela Jones.
We understand Tim was a deputy
for the Pittsylvania County sheriff's
department.
As a result, State Police were
called in and they are now handling in
the investigation.

car after a wreck in Roanoke County
this evening.

seven. Police say it took 25 minutes to
get the first person out, and it took
45 minutes to get the last person out.
It happened in a curvy section of
Sugar Loaf Mountain Road near the
intersection of Elbert Drive.

Sunday night by an apparent drunk

vehicle hit head on by 50 year old
Robert Gene Barker of Moneta.
Nichols died at the

church youth director charged with
molesting a teenage boy.

admitted to the crimes and entered a
plea agreement today in Bedford County
court.

February that allegedly happened in August 2005
while Shrewsbury was the youth director
at Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Today, he pleaded guilty to
15 counts.
A probation officer will now
prepare a pre-sentence report.

free on a 30-thousand dollar bond that
also limits his contact with children.

prosecutors say criminal charges should

and a U-V-A law student wrestled after
the man started shouting questions at
the Senator.
Today, the Charlottesville
Commonwealth's Attorney said he will
not place any criminal charges from the
incident.
Prosecutors say a defensive
reaction by Allen's staff was
reasonable under the circumstances,
however some staff members reacted with
anger rather than legitimate concern.
In the end, they say a review
of the videotape indicates neither side
sought to hurt anyone.

Attorneys for Khaled El-Masri
claim the C-I-A kidnapped him when he

assaulted for five months.

announced their retirements from

- Jim Muscaro.
Muscaro has coached football at
North Cross for 35 straight seasons -
setting the x's and o's for over 400
Raiders' games.
At North Cross he won over 200
contests and one state title in
football.
He also coached basketball for 35
years and has won over 500 games in
hoops and two more state titles.
Muscaro is 62 years old - and a
fomer college teammate of Al Groh's at
UVA.
He will officially step down
after the upcoming basketball season.
