Some nearby parts of Tennessee took a

things tougher for Pulaski County
firefighters.

Right now they're on the scene of
a forest fire near Mount Olivet west of
Pulaski.
A fire official says about 40
acres have burned so far, and some of
that includes National Forest land.
The fire is in a remote area, and
that crews are having a tough time
getting to it.

forming a new caucus. The group
includes Delegate Onzlee Ware, Mayor
Nelson Harris, and the three members of

independents

for supporting the independent ticket.
Members of the group say they

lighting in Wachovia Plaza.
This year's ceremony also featured
performances by a jazz band and an

Afterwards, the festivities moved to
the city market for the annual Dickens
of Christmas.

year, from chestnuts roasting on an
open fire to horse drawn carriage
rides.
Carolers also provided the
entertainment by dressing up in
Victorian Costumes and singing
Christmas songs.

plea this morning when he shocked the
courtroom and changed his mind at the
very last minute.
Last February, Startz walked into

of numerous customers.
He will be sentenced in March.
Startz faces up to life in
prison.

everything in Major League Baseball.
He came up through the minors as a
Catcher, has played the Outfield,
before finally settling in as a Third
Baseman for the Detroit Tigers. He was
part of the Tigers team that
suprisingly made the playoffs this
season and advanced all the way to the
World Series. He returned to
Brookville to the place where
everything started.

To start the evening off Inge
signed autographs for many fans that
saw him growing up and continue to
follow his career to this day. The
line stretched down the hallway outside
of the Bee's gym.
Then in between the Boy's and
Girls Basketball Games, it was what the
evening was really all about, they
retired Inge's Number 7 Brookville
Baseball Jersey. He was a Pitcher and
Shortstop for the Bee's helping them to
a State Title, before taking his game
to V-C-U in Richmond and then of course
on to Pro Baseball.
On Hand for the Ceremony was
Inge's Wife and 2 year old son as well
as his Mom and Dad.
They also had some his former
Brookville teammates come onto the
floor to enjoy the moment with him.
