foot of snow on the ground in some
places and several traffic deaths have
been blamed on the storm.

For commuters in Chicago, the final day
of the work week, was a mess

and it was even worse at O�Hare Airport
where more than 450 flights were
cancelled.



At one point, a blizzard warning was
posted for parts of Oklahoma. �while in
Illinois and Missouri power was knocked
out for more than two million people.



And in Michigan sleet and freezing rain
are causing big problems for utility

companies already tens of thousands of
customers in the Flint-Lansing areas
are without power and hundreds of
schools are closed Moving east, nothing
is frozen in Pittsburgh just yet, but
there's plenty of rain and wind. Gusts
are topping 40 miles per hour with
temperatures unseasonably warm. But
forecasters say the warm weather will
be short-livedand the same wintry
weather in the Midwest may make for a
miserable weekend in the East. Drew

Today, a group of daycare
students shared breakfast with a six
ton elephant named Luke.

The kids munched on animal
crackers and juice

And get this, the elephant ate 20
pounds of apples, about 15 loaves of
bread, twenty bananas and other
vegetables.

And that was just his morning
snack.

The students took pictures with
Luke before he retired to rest before
tonight's circus.
