year and its delivering an icy blast to
millions from Texas to Michigan.

Parts of Oklahoma and Illinois could
have a foot of snow before it is over,
while Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas are

also expecting to get hit hard.

The nasty weather began Thursday
knocking out power for more than two
million people in central and southern
Illinois and Missouri. In Wisconsin,
forecasters say winds and rain could
bring near blizzard conditions.

Another big concern.. slippery roads
that have quickly become dangerous and
deadly.

In Chicago today, hundreds of flights
were grounded at O hare Airport
..stranding thousands of travelers.

And the travel woes are the same for

flyers at major airports hubs in Dallas
and St. Louis.

The storm is heading easttaking aim at
Ohio today and eventually reaching the
northeast where the skies are gloomy
but temperatures are in the mid 60 s.
But forecasters say that balmy weather
will soon be a distant memory.

killed a woman inside the Fairlawn
Wal-mart pleaded guilty today to first
degree murder.

Startz was just in court for a review
of his upcoming trial when he surprised
everyone and entered the guilty plea.

In February, Startz walked into
the Wal-mart and shot his ex-girlfriend
in the head -- 46-year-old Donna Jean
Angelo.

She was a casheir in the store.

Startz will be sentenced in March
for the crime. He faces life in
prison.

received a raise from the University of
the Virginia for taking the Cavaliers
to the Music City Bowl.

The Wahoos did not qualify for a
Bowl this season for the first time in
5-years after finishing 5-and-7.

Because of that, the University
has decided not to exercise an option
on Groh's contract.

The decision had a December
deadline and was done-so by Athletic
Director Craig Littlepage.

Littlepage said the University
has higher expectations than 5-up and
7-down.

Groh still has a contract that
runs through the end of 2-thousand-10.

He gets paid almost a million
dollars a year.
