GRAPHIC=Murder Investigation The Henry County Sheriff's office is
investigating what appears to be a
murder, a second shooting and a suicide
in the Dyers Store area of the County.
Investigators believe 90-year-old
Howard McClendon used a handgun to
fatally shoot his 85 year old wife
Lelia. He alledgedly fired another shot
at his 49 year old daughter, Devra
Carolyn Murrell. She's in critical
condition at a Winston-Salem hospital.
Investigators say Howard McClendon then
turned the gun on himself.
No word yet on what may have led to the
shootings.

nine other sites in the Roanoke Valley.

another is near Colorado Street along

on both sides.
Some see this as a possible
benefit to the area.
Whereas others say the drawbacks
would out weigh any positive that could
come as a result of an Intermodal
