GRAPHIC=None An expert has determined that a stamp

thought to be a rare find and worth

thousands of dollars is, in fact, a
fake.

ENG#=2 VO-NAT
VO-NAT

*CG locator Ft. Lauderdale, FL

The stamp first appeared last month on
an unknown voter's absentee election

ballot.

It was believed to be an "inverted
jenny" stamp from 19-36...featuring an

Upside-down world war one-era airplane.

If it was real, the stamp would have
been worth 270-thousand dollars.

Though it turned out not to be the real
thing...the fake may have some value
because of the infamy of the news
story.

The supervisor of elections may donate
the fake to the Smithsonian.
