He ventured off into the woods
with his dog.

Search crews brought in a state
police chopper with heat sensing

charged a 13-year-old female student
for starting a fire at Hidden Valley
Middle School.

search....The body of a California man
missing in Oregon's coastal mountain
range has been found.

James Kim's body was found in an
area searchers had been concentrating
on for days.

Kim had been missing since
Saturday morning, when he set out on
foot to find help for his family after
their car got stuck in snow.

His wife and two daughters, who

Milwaukee.

An employee says the company

morning after a leak developed in a

yesterday from a home near Ferrum.....

except for the broken left fore-arm.

It's unclear what will become of the
dog taken from Nancy Felter's home.

She has about 50 animals, and a search
warrant filed today indicates
conditions there are deplorable.

It lists 11 animals- -dead or
decomposed- -many of which were found
INSIDE the house.

next decade behind bars for shooting
and killing 20-year-old Robert
Meadows.

Mack Hayslett of voluntary
manslaughter, down from the original
charge of murder.

Ninth Street in Southeast Roanoke.

Eventually, it spiraled into a
shooting with both sides firing.

Sentencing is scheduled for next
February when Hayslett could get the
maximum penalty of ten years in prison.

two Tech students for allegedly
stealing a Hokie Bird.

are charged with grand larceny, felony
destruction of property and obstructing
an officer.

Blacksburg Police got a call just
after 2:00 Sunday morning.

The caller said the Hokie Bird
statue in front of the Moog Components
Group was vandalized and taken into a
nearby apartment.

About a dozen of the birds had
been vandalized over the past few
months, but this is the first arrest in
the case.

like a member of the family has

returned to the fold, now that he has
recovered his prized Martin guitar.

the instrument to the parking lot of
Happy's Flea Market, where Meador left
it, and she found it last weekend.

Meador has played the Martin D-28
for more than 50 years, but on Saturday
he set it down as he was leaving a jam
session.

Mohler saw our story on the
missing guitar and tracked him down.
Today, Meador described its return as
"a real blessing."

it to the New River Valley Fairgrounds.

This year's production has more

to remind the public of what christians
believe is the real reason for the

because Jim Larranaga and his George
Mason Patriots, fresh off a Final Four
run, were in the house.

Early on, the Patriots turn it

Then the Highlanders work the

halls made a massive gingerbread house
of Burruss Hall; Tech's most
recognizable landmark.

The sweet treat is 6-feet long,
3-feet high and weighs in at nearly 600
pounds.

Rock candy was used to resemble
the famous Hokie Stone.

The chef made it for the students
to help take their minds off final
exams.

The gingerbread house will be on
display at the West End Market on
campus

Then it will be given to the Warm
Hearth Village Retirement Community.
