house fire in Danville early this
morning, but it may not have been the

fire that killed him.

Firefighters were called to 841
Main Street just after 2:30 a-m.

They found heavy smoke pouring out
of the house.

68-year-old Gary Bengston was
found in the basement.

He was unresponsive and
pronounced dead at the scene.

On December 7, 19-41, some 360
Japanese warplanes attacked the home
base of the U-S Pacific fleet located
at Pearl Harbor on the Hawaiian Island
of Oahu.

Within two hours of the attack,
the Japanese planes hit, sunk or
severely damaged eight U-S battleships
including the Arizona and fourteen
smaller ships.

Two-hundred aircraft were
destroyed and over 2-thousand sea-men
were killed.

The following day Congress
declared war against Japan with only
one dissenting vote.

nativity during the Christmas season.

actors and nearly a dozen live animals,

it everynight.

This became such a popular event,
there was hardly any room left to stage
it on church grounds.
