together what happened during an
apparent shooting that sent one person
to the hospital this afternoon.

a home on West Court for a shooting
complaint and found one person injured.
While they were there, someone
walked into the Danville Regional
Medical Center with what police say is
a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Police say indications are the
shooting is related to an assault at

third person was hurt.

a woman against her will inside a home
on Cabell (CAB-ull) Street.
After getting conflicting
information from some of the residents,
the tactical team responded and was

progress in their battle against a
forest fire in Amherst County.

Peavine Mountain have burned since
Sunday.
The fire near the Blue Ridge
Parkway is now about 90-percent
contained.
More than 130 firefighers from

meeting, the board suggested
Martinsville simply surrender its
cities charter and dissolve altogether.
County officials say that would

isn't completely necessary.
Martinsville City Council has not

guard is a native of Newnan, Georgia.
Despite growing up in the Peach State,
