may be solved tonight after authorities
found the body they believe is Jonathan
Blackwell.
The 33 year old former Marine has
ties to southside and

with the details. Justin do we know
what led investigators to the body?
Natasha, we understand the sheriff's
department received a tip.

the body but it also produced a suspect
in this case.

VO NAT This mystery started in October 2004
when Jonathan Blackwell disappeared
after leaving work at the Goodyear
Plant in Danville.

October 2004 A week later, Blackwell's burnt out
car was found in the woods just over
the border in Pittsylvania County.
Investigators got a break this week
when they received a tip his body was
buried in a barn in Guilford County.
This morning, his body was found
about 30 yards from that barn.
Blackwell's family members were still
hopeful he would turn up alive so as
you might imagine they're taking this
news pretty hard.

night's shooting in northwest Roanoke.

City Police had been called to
Melrose Park for a disorder. There were
shots fired.
One officer approached two men
who he thought were involved.
Police say one man ran and the
other person fired shots at the
officer.
The officer was not hit but
police used a K-9 to catch 25 year-old
Antonio Dudley.
He's been charged with
obstruction of justice.
Police also charged 24 year-old
Robert Lewis with wreckless discharge
of a firearm for the initial incident
that brought police out.
18 year-old Tyrice West was
treated for a gunshot wound. No one's
been arrested for shooting him.

That's what 18 year old Terry
Epperly Junior told police after spray-
painting graffiti all over
Christiansburg High School.
He and two other teenagers
painted racial slurs, swastikas and
sexual images on the exterior walls of
the school in May.
Epperly pled "no contest" today
to four charges, including making a
bomb threat and felony destruction of
property.
19 year old Darren Mosier pleaded
guilty to the charges.
They will be sentenced in March.
A third suspect is due in court
next week.
