Rockbridge County say they thought went
down, has been suspended.

The search began late yesterday
afternoon in the Adams Peak area east
of Fairfield.
Witnesses reported seeing smoke and
part of what looked like a plane in
that area.
Authorities searched the area and found
nothing.

has received a warning from its
accrediting institution.
It comes from the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools,
which cites concerns about the
college's operating deficit, deferred
maintenance and high tuition discount
rate.
The college says Trustees agree
the institution needs a sounder
financial base, and that's why it will
admit men starting next fall.

already started construction at the
edge of their 45 acre property in the
city.
That section is zoned for
commercial business, but they're hoping
council will rezone the remaining area
for high-density residential.
They would like to build high-
end apartments and townhomes on the
rest of the acreage.
The developers say the housing
would be geared towards young
professionals, retirees and families.
Radford's planning commission has
recommended to approve the rezoning
request.

missing man in Pulaski.

They say Joe Raymond Blevins was
last seen around 4 o-clock yesterday
morning.
Blevins is a resident of
Washington Square Apartments, last seen
wearing a blue short sleeve T-shirt,
blue jeans, slippers, and a brown
leather jacket. Blevins may appear
disoriented and need medical
assistance.
Anyone with information is asked

his job back...he had been chief since

looking for ways to cut costs due to
facing a deficit of close to a two and
half million dollars.

the line.
Tomorrow, City Council will be
weighing this as just one option, as
budget talks begin for the upcoming
fiscal year.
Another option that's resurfaced

whether council will advance the idea
or not.

Leroy Ransome the Second with First
Degree Murder yesterday.

November 16 Latasha Boardley last month at the
Super 8 Motel on Thirlane Road.
Police would not say what
evidence led them to upgrade the
charges from manslaughter to murder.
Ransome also faces a weapons
and felony child neglect charges.
Ransome and Boardley's two
children were in the motel room when
their mother was killed.
