According to the National Retail

years the number of people using cash
at the register has dropped -- down to
24-percent.

On the rise is the number of
people using plastic.

One in three shoppers will rely
on credit cards to pay for holiday
purchases this year.

So it's no coincidence that the
totals for consumer debt are on the
rise as well.

Last minute shopping or not,
experts recommend making a list and a
spending limit and sticking it to avoid
overshopping.

Also keep in mind, gifts are only
