past few days when mother nature dumped

But the culprit isn't speed.

Police say that type of driving
behavior has led to a high number of
crashes on Electric Road.

Police found the worst time is

They say part of the problem is
that rougly 50 thousand people drive
this area daily.

Massachusetts Avenue.

murdering five British prostitutes has
been formally charged.

yesterday as 48- year- old Stephen
Wright, who lives in the red- light
district of Ipswich, England.

Today he appeared in court.

Prosecutors says they have
"sufficient evidence" against him.

The prostitutes' naked bodies were

period.

Wright was arrested on Tuesday at
his home, near where several of the
women were last seen.

Shuttle Discovery is ready to return
from space...but here on earth the

weather may not be cooperating.

"Wherever the weather is good and the
folks decide to bring us into

we'll be prepared to do that."

The Kennedy Space Center in Florida is
the first choice for a scheduled

landing late this afternoon, followed
by Edwards Air Force Base in

California. But with poor forecasts for
both, Discovery may have to

touch down in New Mexico.

"Obviously we will watch the weather
since the forecast can change. But

currently we do have one site go."

White Sands, New Mexico was used only
once in 1982. It's Nasa's third

option because of logistics. Moving
Discovery back to Florida could take

two months...delaying it's next
scheduled launch.

Belton On-Camera Bridge: Because Nasa
added an extra spacewalk to

Discovery's mission, there are only
enough supplies on board to stay in

orbit until Saturday. That puts the
pressure on to get Discovery

home...and soon.

As always, Discovery's heat shield is a
concern. Examination of the

tiles found them in good shape and the
craft is ready for re-entry.

Overall, Discovery's mission to
improve the international space station

has been solid. Crews conducted four
spacewalks and two satellites were

deployed without a hitch.

Now with the mission nearly
accomplished, it's mainly up to the
weather

and all Mission Control can do about
that is watch the sky and wait.

during a training mission near the 18-
hundred- foot Mount Peak.

It happened about 30 miles east of
the Fort Lewis Army Post. The
Army says deputies and volunteers are
out searching for the third crew
member.

It is believed that a helicopter FROM

Fort Lewis is missing, but authorities
there would NOT confirm that.
