But they are not planning
to strike at this point.

has agreed to continue negotations on
Wednesday morning.

Union leaders says they had
many concerns with the contract offer
from healthcare to pension wages. They
say if they company doesn't make some
signifcant changes to the contract they
will likely strike.

The company's proposal was
rejected by 91% of those voting.

and more than 12-thousand union workers
in the U-S have reached a tentative
deal on a new contract.

An agreement would bring an end
to an eleven-week strike. They've been
fighting over health care for retirees
and Goodyear's plan to close a tire
factory in Texas.

About 22-hundred striking workers
in Danville, Virginia are included in
the deal.

The union says the deal would
require Goodyear to drop plans to close
the plant in Tyler, Texas, in return
for an offer of a retirement buyout.

because they say they're here for a
pupose, fighting to hold on to benefits
and wages.

So, even though it looks like the
brunt of the storm has passed, they
plan to spend Christmas here and ride
it out until it's over in what they
call their "strike shelter." And they
will just forward to the day they can
reclaim their jobs.

vote has to happen by December 28th.

A union representative says in

identify the body of a man found shot
to death last night.

the body.

No arrests have been made at this
time, and police are trying to notify

holiday weekend - after two reported
purse snatchings and an armed robbery
yesterday.

Two purse snatchings occurred
yesterday - one outside of the First
Citizen's Bank on Main Street, and
another on the 400 block of First
Street.

Officials are also investigating
an armed robbery that took place last
night at 8:15 at the River Street Mart
on River Street.

No one was injured.

Danville police do not believe
the incidents are related.

All of the snow that fell in
eastern Colorado from a powerful storm
has done quite a bit of damage to part
of a strip mall in Aurora, Colorado.

So much heavy snow piled up on
the roof of a grocery store, it caused
the roof to collapse with people inside
getting out just in time. No injuries
were reported.

The collapse of the roof was so
powerful it caused one of the outside
walls to bow out.

The building is about 55 to
60-years-old, but authorities say over

the years renovations and repairs
brought the building up to code.

Fierce winds whipped things up in
southern California this week.

Wind gusts up to 70
miles-per-hour brought down some
scaffolding in Panorama City Friday
where it landed on a commuter train.

The winds also were a factor in

after an explosion and fire at his home
yesterday afternoon.

It happened on Timber Ridge Road
in a rural area north of Fincastle
around one o'clock.

attempted to rescue him, but was driven

Ann Gill was away from the home
when the fire started and returned to
