will be hitting the stores today in
search of some post-Christmas bargains.

The nation's retailers have
slashed prices even more on holiday
items and stocked up on fresh new
merchandise.

Merchants are hoping that
shoppers, armed with gift cards will
snap up discounted items as well as
pick up full-priced merchandise.

Many charitable groups are seeing
green this holiday season thanks to the
generosity of state employees.

Officials say more than
17-thousand employees in 120 agencies
have donated more than three-point-five
million dollars to 14-hundred
charities.

Donations through the
Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign are
expected to reach three-point-seven
million dollars when the drive closes
its books in February.

It's one of the only restaruants
open in the Roanoke area....and that's
why Christmas Day here is one of its
busiest.
