are drawn to a costumed re-enactment of
George Washington crossing the Delaware
River.
The original crossing in 1776 was
an attack during the Revolutionary War,
and was a major event in the country's
quest for independence.
The re- enactment participants
try to make the event as real as
possible.
In past years, bad weather has
kept the re- enactment from taking
place.
However, no one was disappointed
this Christmas.
