being remembered as a good man who did
what he could during a trying time in
American history.

Gerald Ford died yesterday at the
age of 93.

presidency, he was in the House of
Representatives, serving as the
minority leader....it there former 6th
district Congressman Caldwell Butler
met Ford.

He went on to become vice
president and then president after
Richard Nixon stepped down in the wake

waited to see if Opps would return safe
and sound.

You may remember, back in July, the
Japanese Snow monkey opened her
unlocked cage at the Mill Mountain Zoo
and let herself out.

While on the lam, there were plenty
of sightings of Oops from Mill Mountain
to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Luckily, this story has a happy
ending. A week later, Oops was
captured near the Fishburn Parkway and
everyone, especially, zoo staff
breathed a sigh of relief.

Sales were so high, the D-M-V
recently cut a check to the university
for 214-thousand dollars.
