Back in July, the Japanese snow
monkey opened an unlocked cage at Mill
Mountain Zoo and let herself out.

Opps' escape got plenty of attention
here locally and all around the world.
In fact, the story was even featured on
C-N-N and the B-B-C.

But after a week on the lam, the
twenty pound monkey was captured and
returned to the zoo.

On July 9th, Oops was spoted in the
backyard of a home in Garden City.

Rescue crews then spent two hours
following the monkey through the woods.

Zoo staff tranquilized the monkey
after cornering her in a tree.

You can see in this picture, Oops

on display with her fellow monkeys.
