two robberies last night.

The first happened around 8
o-clock at the Tierra Santa Mexican
Store on Mount Cross Road.

Three Latino men are said to be
suspects.

The second occurred around 9:30
at Junior's Convenient Mart on West
Main Street.

A black male is described as the
suspect in the investigation.

Both robberies were at gunpoint,
and the suspects got away with an

undisclosed amount of money and
property.

A black male is described as the

suspect in the investigation.

vehicles in Halifax County is paying
off in arrests.

The county sheriff's office put a
special strike force together and over
the past week has netted nearly a dozen
suspects.

Investigators say the six adults
and five juveniles are charged with
various crimes, including breaking and
entering, drug possession and grand
larceny.

Officers from the South Boston
Police Department and the Department of
Game and Inland Fisheries helped in the
investigation.
