GRAPHIC=HUSSEIN EXECUTION Saddam Hussein has been

executed....it happened at 10:05
tonight....

A U-S judge rejected a request by
Saddam Hussein's lawyers to delay the
Iraqi leader's execution.

Now, we knew that the Iraqis
wanted to act quickly, we heard from
Iraqi Prime Minister today saying
nothing would stop this
exectution....but just how soon it
would happen may have surprised
some....

Saddam's brothers visited him
in jail this evening, collected his
personal belongings and will....

As the exectution is
behind us, leaders now must worry about
something else... the country is on
high alert...to try and curb any post
execution violence...many are
particularly worried this could unleash
potential attacks on US troops serving

overseas...

Saddam's former chief justice and
half brother were also hanged along
side of the former dictator.
