rocked by a series of bombings this New
Year's Eve.

reported, killing two people and

injuring dozens.

City officials canceled its New
Year's festivities just as thousands of
revelers gathered to celebrate.

Police and soldiers had to fan

At this point...no one has
claimed responsibility for the blasts.

The national police chief says he
does not believe insurgents are behind
the attacks.

The weather hasn't stopped folks
in Vinton from celebrating the arrival
of 2007 at Enchanted Eve.

down...these kids were going up!

A lot of other festivities were
indoors - which made it nice on a night
like this.

The theme for the bash ... a
cruise ship.

Many took their chances at slot
machines hoping to cash in big for the
New Year.

Others sat down for poker...Texas
hold'em style.

And while the parents were
away...the kids did play...games like
musical chairs was a huge hit.

And back outside, carriage rides
replaced cars on the Vinton Streets.

The event is pretty much
over...but a firework finale will go
off at midgnight.

owners.

Soon all 129 stores in Virginia
will cut out the trans-fat oil and
replace it with a healthier option.

Recent studies report diets high
in trans fats can damage heart health

This Week The facelift was made possible

Cave Spring High School student.

He decided to take on the zoo as
his Eagle Scout Project.

Parker and several other boyscout
budies spent part of the week
completely remodeling the Bald Eagle
Exhibit.

BIG POST IN FRONT OF IT.
