City officials canceled its New

Police and soldiers had to fan

entertainment venues and other sites.

Roadblocks were also set up.

At this point...no one has
claimed responsibility for the blasts.

The national police chief says he

A lot of other festivities were

The theme for the bash ... a

Many took their chances at slot
machines hoping to cash in big for the

Others sat down for poker...Texas

And while the parents were

And back outside, carriage rides

GRAPHIC=Chick Fil A Bowl Virginia Tech wrapped up its

2-thousand 6 season with a loss to
Georgia last night in the Chick-Fil-A
Bowl. The Hokies are no doubt kicking
themselves for the one that got away.

As Grant Kittelson tells us, the
second half collapse against the
Bulldogs looked very familiar to a bad
stretch in the middle of the season for
Frank Beamer and company.

A new poll from the Associated

answers.

ENG#=1 VO-NAT

VO-NAT Out of the one thousand polled

many see another terrorist attack, a
warmer planet, or another major natural
disaster.

However most people don't see the
U-S going to war with Iran or

North Korea.

An overwhelming majority think
Congress will raise the minimum

wage and about a third predict
reinstatement of the draft.

One in four anticipates the
second coming of Jesus Christ will take
place sometime this year.
