parking lot of a well-known motel in
Henry County.

victims of a shooting Monday night -
John was killed.

Investigators are trying to figure out.
So far they know the Finney's drove
here, to the Dutch Inn parking lot
after getting a call around 9 p-m.

The Sheriff says the couple
pulled up to a dark blue or black car,
similar to a Pontiac with three males
inside.

authorities say one of the men got out
of the car walked to the passenger's
side where Mr. Finney was sitting and

football and basketball player is in
jail tonight.

VO-NAT 18 year old Josh Maxwell is a

senior at Fort Chiswell High school.

He and 20 year old Michael
Armbrister are charged with attempted
robbery and a weapons violation.

The Sheriff says they tried to
rob the Fort Chiswell McDonalds early
Sunday morning.

Investigators say the pair went
to the drive-up window, showed a gun
and demanded FOOD.

They never got the meal but were
arrested just minutes after the
incident.

The sheriff says it was a toy
gun.

workers following a three month strike.

The steelworkers union says
workers at 12 plants clocked on this
morning.

While some workers say it'll take

INCREASE" pay more for power this month.

The company has requested a four-
percent fuel- rate increase to meet the
projected rise in the cost of fuel used
to generate electricity this year.

Customers using one- thousand
kilowatt hours will see an increase of
two- dollars- 45- cents on their
bills.

The rate hike will take effect
while the State Corporation Commission
reviews the request.

Public comment on the matter will
be heard later this month in Richmond.

Giants are getting ready for their
playoff opener with the Eagles this
week, but it looks like Tiki will be
just fine when New York's season comes
to close and his retirment from the NFL
takes effect.

The New York Post says that Tiki
has agreed to a four year $10 million
dollar contract to do TV work for the
Disney Corporation.

This means he will work for both
ABC and ESPN.

His roles will reportedly be on
both the news side with ABC on Good
Morning America and 20/20 and on the
sports side - possibly with Monday
Night Football.

Tiki is 31 years old and wrapping
up his 10th season in the NFL.

the NFL doing a documentary on the
Draft Process - one of his first

Dome last Sarturday night when members
of the Hokie Nation began elevating
Tyrod Taylor to the top of the
quarterback depth chart.

It seems rather ridiculous to
throw Sean Glennon under the bus and
put one's faith in a prized recruit out
of Hampton who has yet undergo freshman

orientation.

Yet, that's the sports climate
that exists these days, and like it or
not many believe it is Tyrod's time.

best high school senior quarterback in
the nation. He is the total package - a
dual threat - who accounted for for
over 5000 yards and more than 70
touchdowns his final two years at
Hampton.

Taylor runs a 4.5-second 40, but

like so many of the great ones - has
another gear in competition that
enables him to elude most of his
pursuers.

He picked the Hokies over Florida
and Southern Cal, and hopes to follow
in the footsteps of the countless
others who've left the Peninsula and
Tidewater areas for Blacksburg.
