A deadly accident in the city of
Roanoke tongiht. Police say two people
died in the crash that happened on
Peter's Creek road shortly after nine
o'clock.

Police say a man and woman were
coming out of the parking lot of
Parker's Seafood in a Honda C-R-V when
they were hit by a G-M-C Yukon.

The couple was pronounced dead at
the scene, but the driver of the Yukon
did not need medical attention.

No charges have been filed, but
the wreck is still under investigation.

Both southbound lanes of Peter's

Creek road are closed, along with one
of the northbound lanes while the
investigation continues.

accused of propositing a Vinton girl

entered his plea in a Roanoke County
courtroom today.

entered no contest pleas to charges of
soliciting sex through a communications
device, as well as taking indecent
liberties with a child.

That was in Roanoke County
Circuit court today- but, the case was
continued until mid-March because of
similar charges in federal court.

Fugit Few-jit met the girl who was
*then* just 10-years-old in a web
chatroom, and pretended to be a
10-year-old girl himself.

He got her number and then
called, posing as the online friend's
father.

That's when police say he
propositioned her.

Governor Tim Kaine wants to
increase vehicle registration fees and
sales taxes on new cars to pay for
transportation improvements.

The country's first Muslim
member of Congress was also sworn in.

In a ceremonial photo
opportunity afterward, Keith Ellison
placed his hand on a Koran once owned
by Thomas Jefferson.

Ellison's plan got the
attention of Virginia congressman
Virgil Goode. Goode said in an email
that there would be many more Muslim
members of congress if illegal
immigration was not stopped.

Members do not place their
hand on anything to take the OFFICIAL

sworn in, but Nancy Pelosi became the

laid to rest himself today in Bedford
County.
