GRAPHIC=NCAA FB As expected - the University of
Alabama formally introduced Nick Saban
as the Crimson Tide's new head football
coach this morning in Tuscaloosa.
A few people are still suprised
that Saban would leave the Miami
Dolphins - but more than that folks are
upset that the former LSU coach would
come to lead one of the Tigers biggest
rivals.
Saban will get more than $30
million guaranteed dollars for the next
8 years - says he needs more than that
to win.

Cowher has been the Steelers'
head coach for 15 seasons, but many
have believed this year would be it for
him after he and his wife purchased a
home in Raleigh, North Carolina earlier
this year.
He had one year left on his
current contract, and both Cowher and
the Steelers agreed yesterday that they
would make a formal annoucement by next
Tuesday.
Word is that the retirement will
come on Monday back in Pittsburgh.

GRAPHIC=News7at6 Roanoke County homeowners are looking
over their new assessments that just
came in the mail - and some are
wondering if their homes and properties
are really worth that much.
The average increase is more than nine
per cent. It's the highest such
increase in recent years, and those
higher assessments mean higher property
tax payments.
