your favorite Virginia wine lately it's
probably because of a new law that took
effect over the summer.

It requires all wineries to go
through distributors instead of taking
their product directly to market.

But as Richmond Bureau Chief
Jennifer Wishon reports, new efforts to
eliminate the middle- man are making
their way to the legislature.

Last Month News 7 first showed you the scene
there last month. Now animal control
officials also brought charges against
Nancy Felter for failing to provide
adequate shelter for seven animals.

That and the "failure to bury"
charges carry only a fine.

But one additional charge could
land Felter in jail for a year.

That involves the case of the
Schnauzer with a broken leg.

Felter is charged with "ill

treatment" or depriving the dog
emergency veterinary care, one of 19
separate charges returned by the grand
jury yesterday.

59-year-old Larry Carey and

last year of fraud and embezzlement.

Prosecutors say the pair raided
the pension and health insurance funds

and over-stated the company's assets to
secure millions in investments.

A judge yesterday gave Carey a
7-year, 3-month prison term .. Jackson

bgrebe@wdbj7.com Kimberly, notebook or laptop
computers have gotten a lot more
powerful and a lot more popular in
recent years.

And while many are durable, to
get the most longevity, the units must
be handled with care to keep them from
overheating.

If you're going to spend all the
money that goes into owning a laptop,
you might as well spend an extra

Afterall, the name of the game is
