GRAPHIC=FATAL ACCIDENT Roanoke Police say two people

died in a crash that happened on
Peter's Creek road shortly after nine
last night.

Police say a man and woman were
coming out of the parking lot of
Parker's Seafood in a Honda C-R-V when
they were hit by a G-M-C Yukon.

The couple was pronounced dead at
the scene, but the driver of the Yukon
did not need medical attention.

No charges have been filed, but
the accident is still under
investigation.

with two New Year's Day shootings in
Henry County that left a man dead and a
woman wounded.

shootings were the result of an
attempted drug deal gone bad.

21-year-old Blake James Short was

arrested in the 200 block of Parker
Road yesterday without incident.

He is charged with murdering John
Finney of Collinsville, and with the
malicious wounding of Finney's wife
Denise.

Both were shot in the Dutch Inn
Motel parking lot.

Short is also charged with
Attempted Robbery and faces four
charges of Use of Firearm in commission
of a felony.

hospital.

The high winds tore off roofs, and
ripped several mobile homes from their
foundation.

All the heavy rain flooded roads in

entered his plea in a Roanoke County
courtroom.

charges of soliciting sex through a
communications device, as well as
taking indecent liberties with a child.

That was in Roanoke County
Circuit court yesterday- but, the case
was continued until mid-March because
of similar charges in federal court.

chatroom, and pretended to be a
10-year-old girl himself.

He got her number and then
called, posing as the online friend's

That's when police say he

increase vehicle registration fees and
sales taxes on new cars to pay for
transportation improvements.

charged with two New Year's Day
shootings in Henry County that left a
man dead and a woman wounded.

21-year-old Blake James Short was

Both were shot in the Dutch Inn
Motel parking lot.

Short is also charged with
Attempted Robbery and faces four

Police say a man and woman were
coming out of the parking lot of
Parker's Seafood in a Honda C-R-V when
they were hit by a G-M-C Yukon.

The couple was pronounced dead at
the scene, but the driver of the Yukon
did not need medical attention.

No charges have been filed, but

the accidentis still under
investigation.

have been charged with writing a bomb
threat that cleared James River High
School for more than two-hours.

The school was evacuated Tuesday
morning after two students reported
finding lettering on the back of a
bathroom stall.

The 14 and 16-year-old girls are
charged with making a bomb threat and
disorderly conduct that disrupted
school.

The bomb threat is a felony
charge in the case of the older girl
because of her age.

Two Botetourt County teenagers are
charged with writing a bomb threat at
James River High School.

The school was evacuated Tuesday
morning after two female students
reported finding lettering on the back
of a bathroom stall.

Short, is charged with two shootings at
the Dutch Inn Motel in Henry County
that left one man dead and a woman
wounded.

The sheriff's office says the

Louisiana have been located.

two people and sent at least 15 to the
hospital.

The high winds tore off roofs, and
ripped several mobile homes from their
foundation.

All the heavy rain flooded roads in

rubble, it's a nightmare.
