Last Night Roanoke police say 26-year-old Jeremy
Scott Terry was at the wheel of a GMC
Yukon that struck a Honda CRV, as it
pulled out of the Parker's Seafoood
parking lot onto Peters Creek Road.

The man and woman inside the Honda were
both pronounced dead at the scene.

Their names have not yet been released
pending notification of relatives.

Terry did not need medical attention.

Police say more charges are possible.

Her body was found by friends in
her apartment back in June of 2000.

down late yesterday.

morning�ending his bid to be the first
solo sailor to circle the globe from

47-year-old seaman has made his last

The Toledo Zoo is debuting its newest
pride and joy-- this tiny female
giraffe born on Christmas Day.

Workers at the zoo have had to hand
feed baby "Akila," because her mother
didn't allow her to nurse.

She'll remain behind the scenes and
off exhibit until she can be properly
introduced to the rest of the giraffes
at the zoo.

Akila is a Masai giraffe-- the
tallest animals in the world.

When she's fully grown, she'll stand
anywhere from 16 to 18 feet.

Bill Cowher will step down as the head
coach of the Steelers early next week.

Cowher has been the Steelers'
head coach for 15 seasons.

But many have believed 2006 would be
it for him, after he and his wife
purchased a home in Raleigh, North
Carolina last year.

He had one year left on his
current contract, and both Cowher and
the Steelers agreed that they would
make a formal annoucement by next
Tuesday.

Word is the retirement will come
on Monday back in Pittsburgh.
