southeast Roanoke last night for a
stabbing.

It happened a little before eight
o'clock on the 500 block of 9th street.

When police arrived, they found a
male victim who was taken to Roanoke
Memorial Hospital.

There is no word on how badly he
was hurt.

The suspect is still at large.

on Marshall Avenue, police were called
out for shots fired but they didn't
find anything.

About a half hour later, a
gunshot victim showed up at the police
station with a non-life threatening
injury.

He was taken to the hospital.

No one's been arrested in that
case either.

driving an S-U-V that hit a car,
killing two people Thursday night.

Thursday Night The two who died were 71-year old
Wilma Ammermann and her husband E.
Gifford Ammermann- known as Giff.

The two were pulling out of the
Parker's Seafood Restaurant parking lot
onto Peter's Creek Road.

Police say 26-year-old Jeremy
Scott Terry was traveling south when he
hit the Ammermann's car.

Some of the employees tell us
this isn't the only time they've seen
accidents in front of the restaurant.

Shaffer's Crossing rail shop.

It's the company's largest repair
shop and employs more than 300 people.

They announced a 23-point-2

WIDESPREAD, POLICE IN PLACES LIKE
STOCKTON CALIFORNIA AND SAN DIEGO SAY
ITS A DISTURBING TREND. "Well,

hopefully its a short fad, but its
already proven to lead to injuries and

A powerful storm hit several
parts of Mississippi, leaving behind a
path of destruction.

Strong winds shredded the walls
and ripped off the roof of a historic
landmark in Wiggins, MS. The building
dates back to 1910.

The city had just spent a quarter
of a million dollars restoring the
building after it was damaged during
Hurricane Katrina.

Several homes in the area were
also damaged, fortunately no one was
hurt.

Also in Mississippi, several
residents in another county are happy
to be alive after a powerful storm
moved through their area early Friday
morning.

The strong storm severely damaged eight
homes.

Members of one family used a comforter
as a shield as they made their way to a
bathroom to hide from the storm.

The family is also happy that their
little dog, Scrappy, survived the
devastating storm.

Nine injuries were reported in Kemper
County.
