trying to come to grips with the
passing of Bobby Hamilton, Senior.

The Nashville, Tennessee native
died last night at the all-too young
age of 49 after a bout with neck and
head cancer.

Rick Mast raced alongside
Hamilton for two decades as the two
worked their way up from the Busch
series to what was then Winston Cup.

Mast told us this afternoon that
Hamilton battled cancer like a

That's because today is his
birthday.....

The King would have been 72 years
old today.

In Memphis, fans gathered for
their annual birthday ceremony on the
front lawn of Graceland.

Members of the Army presented the
Presley estate a special certificate
and medal, in recognition of Elvis'
service.

Unfortunately, Elvis never
received it.

He died at his Memphis home in
August of 19-77.
