and rescue workers have suspended the
search for a man family members say is
suffering from mental problems.

custody order on Pierre Lamont Carter
while he was being held at Roanoke
Memorial Hospital last night.

A few hours later the 25-year old
ran out of the hospital, into the
Roanoke River.

An officer went in after him but
was unable to rescue Carter.

His family has been unable to
locate him.

It happened in Pulaski County
near exit 101.

One animal was seriously injured
in the fall, and had to be put down.

Virginians oppose changing state law to
allow hunting on Sundays, an issue that
could come up in this year's General
Assembly.

500 state residents yesterday for their
opinion. 34 percent favor Sunday
hunting, but 61 percent oppose it.

We conducted a similar poll

is even stronger - 66 percent.

A Department of Game and Inland
Fisheries' random survey of licensed
hunters showed 53 per cent favored
Sunday hunting, but our statewide poll
found 53 per cent of hunters OPPOSE it.

own hands..but police say she's now the
one breaking the law.

to warn drivers to slow down.

But police say it's against the
law and gave her a two hundred dollar
ticket for illegally putting up a

way. But the woman refuses to take it

Police say speeding isn't even a
problem on the woman's street.

As for her ticket, she plans to
fight it in court.

Tech won both ends of its men's

Greensboro Coliseum tonight against
UNC-Greensboro.

The Hokie women won the 500th

a 56-to-45 victory over the Spartans.

The Tech men beat UNC-G 74 to 51.
