contract offer from the company.
According to a the union's
president, "there is no threat of a
strike at this point....the company
only had two options..go back to the
table or lock us out, obviously they
will go back to the table."
As of late this afternoon, a
company spokeswoman said they're
currently discussing the next steps
with union and will have more
information at a later time.

City police have launched an
investigation into how Carter got away
from the officer and ended up in the

Drivers who run a red light would

damage their driving record.

committee, but this year it was
referred to the Transportation
Committee- where it could get a green
light.
If the bill gets out of
committee, Purkey believes it will pass
in the House, but not everyone is

Tech football team from the just
completed season had surgeries
performed on them today.
The operations turned out to be
much more involved than expected and as
a result both players will miss all of
spring practice.

Chris Ellis, a rising senior
defensive end, underwent surgery on his
shoulder - an area that caused Ellis
discomfort throughout the season. Once
in the operating room, it was
discovered that he had a torn labrum,
an injury similar to what tailback
Branden Ore had last spring.
Sergio Render, a rising sophomore
offensive guard, had surgery on his
knee. Head trainer Mike Goforth said
doctors trimmed some cartilage in his
knee as expected, but then had to work
on another set of cartilage in the same
knee.
