pulled out of the river this weekend.

Roanoke Saturday afternoon when he
spotted something out of the ordinary.

struggle to retrieve the victim.

It took three of the four men to
pull him from the water because the
bank was slippery, the victim's body
was heavy from filling with water and
there was a moderate current working
against their rescue efforts.

is in the hospital following a late
night accident Saturday on Interstate
81.

It happened in Rockbridge County
just past the Lexington and Buena Vista
exit.

State police say a tractor
trailer carrying cars was changing
lanes when it hit a nearby car, causing
it to spin out of control, and slam
into a guard rail.

72 year-old Carolyn Compton, a
passenger was ejected and killed.

The driver, Edward Compton, is at
the U-V-A Medical Center.

The driver of the trailer is in
the Rockbridge County Jail facing a
felony for hit and run.

York woman.

marker five on I-64, state police say

31-year-old Yamilet Agosto was ejected
from her S-U-V after she ran off the
road and flipped.

She was prounounced dead at the
scene.

Police say she was not wearing a

tonight after two miners were killed in
West Virginia.

the men in were removing pillars of
coal used as roof supports-when they
caved in on them.

Emergency crews immediately went
to work trying to rescue the miners,
but it was too late.

apartment complex.

In Greenville, North
Carolina....two Baptist Churches have
come under fire.

Flames broke out at Memorial
Baptist around 11 last night.

Authorities say at least half the
building is gone.

30 minutes later....a second fire
about a half mile away at Will Baptist
Church.

This one damaged only a few
rooms.

State and federal arson
investigators are working the cases
calling both suspicous.

And another thing that's catching
their attention - a third church was
reportedly burglarized last night as
well.

"It sounded like it was almost like a
miniature war zone in there."

Neighbors heard signs of trouble ...
literally underneath them.

"Something like a baseball being thrown
against the wall."

But roomates Harry Richard and Tom
Garner had no idea the rukus could have
been coming from two missing boys being
held in Apartment D.

"Those bangings may have been a cry for
help."

It wasn't the noise, but a white truck,
that led police to 41 year old Michael
Devlin's suburban St. Louis apartment.
The truck had been spotted near the
site where 13 year old Ben Ownby was
last seen. That clue led them to, not
just Ownby, but Shawn Hornbeck ... a
boy who disappeared in 2002.

"While much of the focus has been on
the boys rescued from this apartment,
the family of Michael Devlin is also
speaking out. They released a statement
saying they were happy the boys were
home safe and they hoped their son will
be safe as the facts of his case are
revealed."

Meanwhile, many are left wondering how
a teenage boy, seen roaming free around
Devlin's apartment complex and playing
with neighborhood children, could have
been held captive for so many years.

"We are assuming, he had a choice,
whether to leave or to say. The
assumption that I make is that he did
not have the choice. Physically he
could do all that but psychologically
he was trapped and could not escape."

Devlin is expected to be arraigned on
kidnapping charges later this week. As
he makes his way through the courts,

the families of the boys will begin
counseling ... and start down the road
to recovery.

about a new Family Dollar, cafe and
restaurant popping up in Craig County-

Recently the area's Industrial
Development Authority was given the
