(END SOT) Fisheries is exploring the idea of

allowing hunting on Sundays. A
department survey found just over half
of the licensed hunters polled support
the idea. But one viewer believes
others should have a say.

"I don't understand why that survey
would only go to a limited number of
licensed hunters and not land owners
and other concerned individuals. I hope
that our legislature would put this on
the ballot for the population of the
state to decide or allow each county to
decide for itself."

And other viewers voiced their
disapproval of Sunday Hunting.

"I think six days a week is enough for
them to hunt," Emma Montgomery writes.
"We the non-hunters of the world
deserve one day a week to enjoy nature.
"

It's a sentiment echoed by Delbert
Jones:

"I hike a lot on trails in the National
Forests outside Blacksburg and want it
to be safe. Your reporters should go
to places like Pandapas Pond outside
Blacksburg on a Sunday and ask the
hikers and mountain bikers how they
would feel about this matter."

The new clinic will offer more
work space for volunteers and new
services that haven't been availble in
the past.

RUN=:08 SOT 2:28:50 WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A

LITTLE MORE PHARMACY SPACE TO STORE OUR

PROCESS THEIR VISITS MORE EFFICIENTLY.
2:28:48

RUN=:08 SOT 2:45:45 IT WOULD NORMALLY COST MORE

THAN $200,000 TO RENOVATE A BUILDING
LIKE THIS. BUT THANKS TO DONATIONS AND
VOLUNTEER HEALTH, IT COST LESS THAN A
THIRD OF THAT. 2:45:53

RUN=:08 SOT BUDDY MCCRAW/PROJECT VOLUNTEER:

The original building was just a
garage, but volunteers have transformed
the facility in a little less than 7
months.

The finished building will also
house a community center and local
agencies like habitat for humanity.

RUN=:07 SOT 2:32:13 This is a community project
