violence against Native Americans.

Today the chairman of the Black
Legislative Caucus said he's appalled.

The caucus is supporting the bill
to help those affected by slavery heal.

Lynchburg's prosecutor says he's ready
to release his findings in the case of
Clarence Beard, Junior -- who died in
police custody.

police were arresting him inside his
home at the James Crossing apartment
complex on September 24th.

has prepared a 34-page report which

for Marcus Vick are hoping to end a
lawsuit before it begins, asking a
judge to throw out the 6-point-3
million dollar suit.

being sued by a 17 year old
Christiansburg girl.

The teen says she had a sexual
relationship with Vick for nearly 2
years.

According to the lawsuit the girl
dropped out of school and suffered
psychological trauma.

Vick's attorney never addresses
whether Vick had a relationship with
the girl, but he says there's no basis
for the civil suit.

Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing
Authority is hoping federal officials
will reconsider their sanctions against
the agency.

defensive coordinator Bud Foster won
the Broyles Award. Foster received the
hardware today in Little Rock Arkansas,
it is the fourth time that he has been
nominated for the award that goes to
the Top assistant Coach in the Nation.

By winning the award it should do
nothing but up Foster's stock of being
a Head Coach one day. The 47 year old
has had chances to leave for a Head Job
Before but choose to stay.

passed away this morning from Lung
Cancer. Parsons came to the national
spotlight as a T-V Announcer for Nascar
but was a darn good racer in his own
right. He won the Winston Cup
Championship in 1973 and a Daytona
5-hundred in 1975.

The Current Nascar drivers who
are preping for the 2-thousand and 7
season down at Daytona, reacted to the
passing of a fixture in the garage.
