compensation from the company.

He says they're worried un-kept
cats could be carrying rabies and

appreciated more after his retirement,
when he was named one of NASCAR's 50
greatest drivers and earned his way
onto the cover of a Wheaties box.
Most of the Race fans who have
picked up NASCAR in the past decade
mainly know Parsons from his work on
race telecasts with ESPN and most
recently NBC.
Parsons was diagnosed with lung
cancer in July, was reported to be in
remission, only to be admitted to the
hospital last December.
The one- time smoker gave up
cigarettes in 1978, and wouldn't even
allow anyone to smoke around him.
Benny Parsons was 65 years old.

coach Bud Foster has been named the
recipeent of this year's Broyles Award.
This distinction, which is named
in honor of former Arkansas legend
Frank Broyles, is given each year to
the top assistant coach in America.
Foster has been with Frank Beamer
all 20 seasons in Blacksburg, and he
credits much of his success and
longevity to Beamer's guidance.

Campbell pleaded guilty to
misdemeanor assualt today-
the 35-year old was accused of
hitting the maid in the back of the
head with a phone in the model's New
York apartment last year. During her
appearance- Campbell says she threw the
phone in the apartment, which then hit
the maid.
In exchange for her guilty plea,
Campbell has to pay the maid's 363
dollars in medical expenses, do five
days of community service and attend an
anger management class.
