trying to figure out the motive for a
double shooting in Southside but they
do have a suspect in custody.

without bond.

He's suspected of shooting
two men early Sunday morning on
Turbeville Road in Halifax County.

on his condition.

Investigators say they're
still interviewing witnesses.

public places

This time around, he believes
his bill has a better chance.

Then back in October, Governor
Tim Kaine issued an executive order
banning smoking in most state
government offices.

bills that would ban smoking in public
places like restaurants.

Jennifer England got involved
when she learned her neighbor was

planning to use biosolids on his farm
directly across the street.

England helped form the group
"Citizens Against Toxic Sludge."

They want local governments to
have more power when it comes to
regulating the storage and use of
biosolids.

England believes most people
oppose the use of biosolids, and she
says their voices should be heard.

They're meeting with county
officials later this week to discuss
the proposed ordinance.

practice at the Roanoke Ballet Theatre
yesterday....

Now this is the first time
the company of more than 120 members
has been in the United States and

in Sarasota, Florida at the beginning


of the month ...and they won't rest
until the tour ends in mid-February.
