Miami International Airport confiscated
a water bottle from Vick that had a
hidden compartment-- as he tried to
pass through security.
The bottle is similar to these

Police say the hidden compartment
contained a small amount of residue
that could be marijuana.
The president of the Atlanta
Falcons had this to say about what
could happen if Vick is charged with
possession of the drug.

today.

Shock and sadness in the Bedford
County community today as the news
spread that county supervisor Bobby
Pollard was killed in a farming
accident at his home.
It happened early this afternoon
at Pollard's farm on Shadow Mountain
Lane near Blue Ridge.
County administrator Kathleen Guzi
(GUZZ-ee) says Pollard was feeding his
cattle when his tractor flipped over,
killing him.

officer, or was Pam Semones "on a
crusade?"
That's how the lawyers framed their
opposing views today in a 40-million
dollar lawsuit filed by the wife of a
Christiansburg police officer.
The suit alleges the two officers had a
"personal relationship," that Semones
was living with Gary Covington.
Without ruling on the case, Judge Sam
Wilson said today that the courts don't
care what an officer's motive may be.
The question is whether Semones'
lawfully arrested Wendy Covington two
years ago.
Judge Wilson indicated he may need more
information before he rules on a motion
to dismiss.

snacks.

According to a Survey USA poll 65
percent of those polled think the
government should do away with trans
fats in public shools.
31 percent want the government to
butt out and 4 percent were not sure.
