A number of nursing home patients
had to weather the cold this evening
after a fire broke out at a Bedford
County nursing home.

Around 9:45 tonight the Woodhaven
Nursing Home was evacuated...someone
reported the building was filling up
with smoke.
Both Bedford and Botetourt County
firefighters responded.
At this time firefighters are
still in the building, where they
believe a furnace caught fire.
Crews are currently trying to air
out the building.
No injuries have been reported.

in Radford keeps going up.
Since six o'clock this evening
the number has climbed by more than
three dozen.-

being treated for the norovirus.
It's a gastrointestinal illness.
Health officials say the virus is
contracted when people come in contact
with any type contaminated surface like
counter tops, steering wheels or cell
phones.
Since Friday, Doctors say roughly
120 students showing flu like systems
have come in for help.

health department is now calling it a

food court on Radford's campus.
By Friday, the University had
closed two of the four restaurants as a
precaution.
Even though the health department
has identified the illness as
Norovirus.
They have not pinpointed the
source and are still waiting on tests
results from those restaurants.

turn this morning.

One man is dead - a woman in the
hospital.

traffic accident on Virginia's Eastern
Shore.

State police say an S-U-V swerved
into oncoming traffic and landed on top
of a pickup truck late Friday night.
Four men in the S-U-V and a
two-year-old child in the pickup were
killed.
The child's mother was the only

life-threatening injuries at a Norfolk
hospital.

stories off a hotel building and LIVED
to tell about it.

Police questioned a man who was
with the victim at the time and he
apparently admitted they'd both been
drinking and goofing off before his
friend lost his balance and shattered
the glass.
