homicide in Danville.

Officers were called to North Main
Heights Convenience Store in the 500
block of North Main Street at about
eight last night.

They found the owner 61-year old,
Yem Bui (Yem Boo-ey). He had been shot.

He was pronounced dead at the
scene.

The body has been sent to the medical
examiners office in Roanoke.

had to weather the cold last night
after a fire broke out at a Bedford
County nursing home.

Nursing Home was evacuated...someone
reported the building was filling up
with smoke.

Both Bedford and Botetourt County
firefighters responded.


No injuries have been reported.

say the norovirus is to blame for
making roughly 120 Radford University
students sick.

The gastrointestinal illness is
very contagious, especially among
people who live close contact.

late Thursday. She was one of many
students who ended up in the emergency
room.

Health officials have not pinpointed
the source of this localized outbreak.

But one common thread among the
students is many of them ate at the
Dalton Hall Food court on Radford's
campus. The University closed two of
the four restaurants as a precaution. A
dining service team is coming in today
to clean all contact surfaces with a
bleach solution. All food court
restaurants will re-open with normal
operating hours.

turn yesterday morning.

Firefighters were called out to a
home on Fort Avenue around 5:30.

When they got there, the second
floor was heavily engulfed.

Authorities did discover a body.

The victim's name has not been
released.

One man is dead - a woman in the
hospital.

car accident yesterday morning on Loch
Haven Drive.


Police say 25-year-old Nicholas
Edward Janney was pronounced dead the
scene.

19-year-old Amber Michelle Keith
was taken to Roanoke Memorial.

No word on how the crash happend.

Police say neither person was
wearing a seatbelt.

In Western Oklahoma, seven inches
of snow fell yesterday afternoon, while
the other half of the state had rain as
temperatures hovered above freezing.


Thousands remain without power
from last week's ice storm. Up to 25
deaths have been reported from that
storm, most of those in weather-related
accidents.

Officials are warning people to
take travel slow, especially over the
slick bridges and overpasses.

Dalton Hall Food court on Radford's
campus. The University closed two of
the four restaurants as a precaution. A

bleach solution. All food court
restaurants will re-open with normal
operating hours.
