loose tonight.. and police want help
finding these men.
First we begin in Lynchburg- where
police are searching for a man who
attacked a woman in broad daylight
earlier today.

Authorities say the woman told them
the suspect raped her inside his car in
the parking lot of Sams Club around
noon.
She was able to give police a
description of the man and his car ...
a red Ford Excursion with designer rims
and a gray interior.
The suspect is a white man in his
early 30s, with a heavy build- who was
wearing jeans with mud on them.
Anyone with information is asked to
call the Lynchburg police.

on for a man police say raped and
abducted an Alleghany County woman.

before ten o'clock at the Alleghany
Highlands Community Service Board.
Police say a woman was getting
out of her car when a man she did not
know, approached her with a gun.
He reportedly forced her to drive
into Botetourt County where he raped
her before bringing her back to Clifton
Forge.

charged with the city's first homicide
of the year.

called to this rooming house on
Rivermont Avenue for a report of
threats.
They found 24-year-old Ricky
Bernard Evans on the lobby floor,
suffering from a stab wound to his
stomach.
Evans later died at Lynchburg
General Hospital.
Police have charged 42-year-old
James Edward Shaner with murder.

out in Roanoke County.

have already done away with the decals,
and Roanoke County Supervisors are
expected to make the same decision
tonight.
The county will continue to
require decals through the spring of
2008, and county residents will

today said they'll be happy to do away
with the annual ordeal of scraping away

The Pre-season predictions are in for
this season with Defending Champion
N.C. State is picked as the early
favorites. The Virginia Cavaliers are
picked to finish 7th out of the 8 teams
in the A-C-C.

Conference. The Hokies made it to the
NCAA's again last season and return 11

February 10th on the road.

Earnhardt Junior's teammate as DEI, has
been arrested and charged with
disorderly intoxication. After a
night out with friends, Truex was
ticketed for urinating in the corner of
a parking garage connected to Ocean
Walk Shoppes in Daytona Beach
The unlawful pit stop cost him a
$208 ticket from a Volusia County Beach
Patrol officer and quite a bit of
embrassment.
The police report says he had to
be asked seven times to put his hands
behind his back before he cooperated
with authorities.
Truex has appologized to his
fans, and his sponsor Bass Pro shops.
