Highlands continue to look for a man
wanted for adbuction and rape.

responsible for abducting a woman from
a parking lot in downtown Clifton Forge
and taking her to a remote area of
Botetourt County yesterday.
Police say the man raped her
along Callie Mines Road.
He's between five seven
AND five nine- and has tufts of hair on
his face.
And tonight, many who live and
work in and around the Iron Gate
community have taken extra steps to
stay safe.

was captured this morning.
He's charged with two counts each
of rape, abduction and forcible sodomy.
Police say he raped two women
yesterday at a Dublin apartment.
He was caught with the help of a
Donald Akers, who walked his wife to
her car this morning and found Clark
inside.

Akers' wife called police, his
daughter grabbed his rifle.
Akers held Clark at gunpoint for
five minutes until sheriff's deputies
arrived.
Clark is being held at the New
River Valley Jail without bond.
He's also accused of abducting
and assaulting a women in the town of
Pulaski just one hour before the rapes
happened in Dublin.

caught more than 15 hundred miles away
from home.

The Henry County Sheriff's
department tell us this man, William
Marshall Coe Jr. was recently
apprehended all the way in Fort Morgan
County, Colorado during a routine
traffic stop.

jail back in November by impersonating
another inmate who was scheduled to be
released.
For now the inmate will remain in

We have breaking news to report.
Police in Roaoke say they've made
an arrest in a string of burglaries
that started last month.
The burglaries were concentrated
in Southwest Roanoke, and ran from late
December and continued into this month.
One male juvenile's been taken
into custody -- charged with burglary,
but more arrests are on the way.

accidents made a mess of Interstate 77
in Carroll County today.

VO-NAT The trouble started when a
NO SUPER northbound truck rolled over on a curve
near the Poplar Camp exit. The driver
was trapped in the cab until rescue
crews could get her out. She and a man
sleeping in the cab's rear compartment
were both airlifted for hospital
treatment.
Then another northbound truck
rolled over when it came up on the
backed-up traffic from the first
accident. This rig was carrying PVC
pipe and fittings which spilled over
the northbound lanes.
The driver of this rig was not
seriously hurt, but the cleanup took
hours.

300-thousand dollars and months of
construction.

the plaza, extending the completion

There are new sidewalks, a
handicap ramp, and drainage systems.
The scenery has also improved. Several

to pass over the newly-laid bricks this

The North Carolina state bar
filed more accusations that could lead
to Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong
(NY'-fawng) being disbarred.
The latest charges accuse Nifong
of withholding D-N-A evidence and
making misleading statements to the
court in his prosecution of an alleged
rape involving three members of the
Duke University lacrosse team.

He was the head Coach at Jefferson High

Kepley retired from the High
School level, but he is now back as an
assistant to his Son Chuck, who played
for his f at P.H. then he took his game
to Wake Forest. Now Father and Son are
together coaching 9 and 10 year olds
including Chucks Son and Dick's
Grandson.

accomplishsed as a Coach here in the
