raping an Alleghany County woman is now
in custody.

This morning 18-year-old Andrew
Michael Washburn was arrested and
charged with rape and malicious
wounding.

He was later taken to the
Botetourt County jail.

This arrest comes two days after
police say a woman was abducted from
the parking lot of the community
services board building in downtown
Clifton Forge.

Police say he took the woman to a
remote area in Botetourt County where

he raped her.

Investigators say the community
played a huge role in capturing the
suspect.

teenagers Charles Moore and Henry Dee
were hitchhiking near an ice cream
stand. The FBI says Seale offered them

them into the woods where fellow
Klansmen beat them. Their bodies were
discovered two months later in a river.
Seale was arrested for the murders��.
as was Charles Edwards�..but the
charges against both were dropped. For
four decades Moore's brother Thomas
wouldn't let go-he kept pushing
prosecutors and unearthing facts. When
he heard the news Seale was arrested he

BUT I CRIED." This case joins others
that took years to resolve---including

the Birmingham church bombing that
killed four black girls, the 1963
assassination of Medgar Evers as well

The Keydets came out smoking,
